Bria Lemoine (she/her) is beyond thrilled to be taking on the role of Anya/Anastasia in this production of Anastasia. She has been part of Yukon Theatre for Young People since 2019, when she joined at age 14, and has since performed in productions such as: Newsies, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, and Hadestown: Teen Edition. Bria also completed two semesters in the Music, Arts & Drama (MAD) program at Wood Street School during her high school years.
In September, Bria will be entering her third year at UBC Okanagan, where she is pursuing a degree in Media Studies and Journalism. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to step into such a powerful role and bring this story of identity, resilience, and hope to life. Being part of this production has been a dream come true, and she’s so excited to share it with the audiences alongside this amazing cast and creative team.
Michael (he/him) is a born and raised Yukoner. This summer, when Michael wasn’t rehearsing for Anastasia, he was probably still rehearsing, just for something else. During the day, he works in marketing at Yukon University, and during the school year, he studies Economics at the University of Victoria.
Favourite musical credits include: Legally Blonde (Ensemble/Emmet u/s) [VOS], Hadestown (Orpheus), Rent (Roger), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Les Miserables (Javert) [YTYP], Ride the Cyclone (Ricky Potts) [Guild Hall], and Be More Chill (Squip) [Candlestick]
Cohen (he/him) is grateful to have the opportunity to be part of the cast of Anastasia in YTYP’s 2025 Senior Summer Show. Cohen has been part of the YTYP MainStage Company since 2019’s Newsies (ensemble) and has since performed in Les Miserables (Thenardier), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), and Fiddler on the Roof (Tevye). This is his third Senior Summer Production including Rent (Tom Collins), and last year’s Hadestown (Hermes). Cohen was also part of the cast of Stonecliff (Young Michael Heney) and performed with both the Heart of Riverdale Musical Theatre Program and the Frantic Follies Vaudeville Camp. Cohen is currently studying elementary education at the University of Victoria and works as a Musical Theatre camp instructor at The Heart of Riverdale.
Ella Laliberty (she/her) has always loved performing and been excited to take an opportunity to be on stage, and she is thrilled to be a part of yet another YTYP production! Ella joined YTYP in 2019 for their very first production, Disney's Newsies, and has been here ever since! Some of Ella’s past favourite credits include Fantine in Les Misérables (2022), Mimi Marquez in Rent (2023), Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (2024), and Eurydice in Hadestown: Teen Edition (2024).
Sam Kirby has been doing theatre for 2 ½ years, starting their theatre journey in grade 12 with Wood Street’s MAD program. Since then they've done at least a few shows a year both with YTYP and other programs. For the past 2 ½ years as well Sam has been using a cane or crutch due to ongoing health concerns and even though they've had struggles both on and off stage these years they have always tried to give the best performances they can! They are ecstatic for you all to come see YTYP'S performance of Anastasia and get a taste of both Russia and Paris's beautiful culture
Luca has been dancing all his life, and after doing Lés Mis with YTYP a few years ago, he knew he wanted to explore more sides of performing on stage. He proceeded to take part in many plays, musicals, and dance shows throughout the remainder of his time in the Yukon, and remains focused on growing as a well-rounded performer. Notable roles include: Lefou in Beauty and the Beast, Choreographer and featured ensemble in RENT, Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof (YTYP), Rich in Be More Chill (Candlestick Theatre Society), and the Tin Man in Down the Yellow Brick Road (The Heart of Riverdale). He is excited to continue his Music Theatre Performance degree as a second-year at Sheridan College in the fall.
Luca will not be doing a backflip in this production of Anastasia.
Finnean Sward is a 19 year old Yukon born performer.
Finnean has performed in multiple YTYP productions and is hoping to make this show just as great as all the former shows.
Finnean is extremely excited for YTYPs senior production of Anastasia and is giving his all to make it a great show for everyone.
Hailey Woodford has found her love for theatre in the past three years, attending a semester at MAD, and participating in three previous YTYP shows. Hailey is no stranger to the stage, she’s been dancing at NLSD for over a decade. She is so grateful for everyone she’s met and is excited to continue her theatre journey!
Lillian made her acting debut in 2019 when she appeared in Dogg’s Hamlet, Cahoot’s Macbeth at The Guild. She then made appearances in many YTYP shows since she started in Les Miserables, including this year’s spectacular performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Lillian is very proud to join the YTYP senior cast this year, and be able to work with such inspiring, talented people, and be guided by the most incredible artistic team. Lillian can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing job that this team has done to bring this beautiful story to the stage. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Cadence (she/her) is a founding member of YTYP and has been involved in every production since its inception. Long-time attendees will recognize her from her memorable performances as Crutchie in Newsies (2019), Madame Thénardier in Les Misérables (2022), and Joanne in Rent (2023). Cadence has spent the last two years learning the producing side of theatre, mentored by the incredible Angela Drainville. Most notably, Cadence was the associate producer for YTYP’s Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Hadestown: Teen Edition and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She is thrilled to be taking the stage once again and for the opportunity to perform with her friends, who feel more like family.
Nineteen-year-old Sofia is a singer and actor, born and raised in Whitehorse. She has always had a love for theatre and is thrilled to be a part of yet another YTYP show. In the past, she has performed with YTYP in Disney's Beauty and the Beast as ensemble (2023), Fiddler on the Roof as Hodel (2024), and, most recently, one of the Fates in Hadestown: Teen Edition (2024). Sofia is so excited and proud to be able to work with an amazing cast and crew, who were able to make Anastasia come to life!
Ezra Baker (they/them) is a performer who has made it their goal to incorporate theatre into as many aspects of their life as possible. They are in their last year of university, where they are studying to be a teacher, and are known for being “the theatre one” by their classmates. Their most notable acting credits include Fate in ‘Hadestown’ (YTYP), Jemilla in ‘Firebringer’ (Candlestick Theatre Society), and Mrs. Potts in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (YTYP). When they aren’t performing or teaching, you can find Ezra serving on YTYP’s Board as Vice President, reading the latest fantasy novel, or playing whatever video game their friends recommended. Ezra is very excited to be bringing so many fun characters to life in Anastasia, and is very grateful for this opportunity to work with such an amazing cast and crew.
John-Patrick (JP) Durham is ecstatic to be in YTYP’s production of Anastasia. He has loved growing up in the company in Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. JP has finally aged into the senior show and has loved spending afternoons out fishing and evenings with this amazing cast and crew!!
Elora Wheeler (she/her) is 15. She moved from Haines Junction to Whitehorse in August 2024 to attend the MAD program. She is going into grade 10 and will be in the FADs program. Last year she was part of the ensemble for YTYP's production of "Fiddler on the Roof". This year she was part of the ensemble of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". She is excited to be part of the ensemble for "Anastasia". Outside of rehearsal, she enjoys playing the fiddle, swimming with the Glacier Bears, singing, dancing and archery.
Declan Wise is a 16 year old actor, singer, saxophone player, bassist, occasional writer, and aspirational electronic musician. He will be part of the ensemble. Previously, you may have seen him in a large variety of YTYP and MAD shows. During his free time, he likes to try and stay on top of listening to a whole lot of new music and then reviewing it. He has a large spreadsheet telling him that he’s about 3 months behind on his schedule. He also likes to watch movies when he can, and is a strong believer in the fact that Parasite is the greatest film ever. His favourite musical is La La Land, which isn’t a great answer because it’s a movie, but that doesn’t really matter.
Zorion Oliver (she/her) is very pleased to be a part of the ensemble in YTYP's senior production of 'Anastasia'. This time around, she decided to be a part of the ensemble. She has also pursued main roles in previous productions as well. Some of her previous roles include Miss Trunchbull in Matilda. Jr (the Heart of Riverdale 2024), Helena in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Guild Hall (YTYP 2024), and most recently, Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (YTYP 2025). Aside from acting, she also has experience in music, as a singer and guitarist (traditional & bass). Zorion is looking forward to being a part of preforming this year's production on stage.
Stella Skoke Burns (She/Her) has been a dancer since she was just under two years old, and has always loved performing. Stella dances at Northern Lights School of Dance and competitively outside of the Yukon. In the summers, she travels to attend arts intensives, such as Vancouver's Arts Umbrella and Harbour Dance Center. Along with dance, Stella loves acting, singing, and anything artistic. Stella has been in many shows, such as YTYP's Beauty and the Beast, NLSD's annual Nutcracker, and Prince George Dance Festival's Gala. She is very excited for this summer's production of Anastasia, and hopes you enjoy the show!
Aila Massie is a fifteen-year-old high school student who has been performing onstage since she was three. This is her second performance with YTYP, the first being "Beauty and the Beast". She is incredibly grateful to be a part of this summer's senior showcase and is super excited to perform alongside other talented youth through YTYP! She hopes that you enjoy watching this production of "Anastasia" as much as she has enjoyed being a part of the creation!
Gabriel Hopkins is many things… Associate Director, Associate Musical Director, Associate Technical Producer, Sound Designer, and Lead Set Painter to name a few. More than all of those however he is incredibly proud of the work everyone has done on this production, and is very excited for everyone to come and see it!
After many years on stage as a dancer, Aurelia is thrilled to have worked with YTYP as the associate choreographer on this incredible production. This is Aurelia's first experience in the world of musical theatre and after watching YTYPs shows from the audience for many years, she jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this show, coming together and watching behind the scenes. Having recently graduated from Northern Lights School of Dances programming, she is grateful to have been able to take this step towards a lifetime full of performing arts. She has enjoyed every bit of this experience and hopes you enjoy all the hard work that went into this show!
Paisley Schroeder (she/they) has spent the last year exploring new opportunities and learning all things film and technical theatre. Along with many stage management and performing opportunities, some of their favourite experiences over the last few months have been working as a Production Assistant on a short film, mainly assisting with sound and lights, as well as spending a month at the Yukon Arts Centre doing work experience, working the lighting board for dance shows. Not only did they work on the stage management side of this show, but they also got the chance to take a few headshots and promo photos, as well as got a peek into the producing side of theatre. They are super grateful for all the new things they have gotten the chance to learn during this rehearsal process, and they can’t wait to share this outstanding production with you.
Ben Rumbolt (he/him) is usually one to be on stage, but this time he wanted to take a peek behind the curtain. If you were to ask Ben what his favourite part of being an ASM is, he would say getting to work with this wonderful team and cast. Ben was recently in CATCF (2025), so, this is Ben’s second time with YTYP, and he is loving it. Ben has also spent 2 semesters in the mad program. When he’s not doing theatre, you can find him drawing or singing (off-key). Ben is excited for you all to come on this journey to the past with him.
Anick Girouard has been in love with theatre ever since she was in elementary school. She was in her first play at the age of 7 in school. She has been a fan of musical theatre ever since she was young. In this production Anick’s is not onstage but backstage. She had taken the role of an assistant stage manager. She is happy to be learning new things and exploring different roles in theatre.
