Young people turning 12 (twelve) in 2026 up to high school grads in 2026 are invited to submit an electronic audition for roles in YTYP's. upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz taking place at the Yukon Arts Centre, June 17-20, 2026.
We encourage actors under 12 to contact The Heart of Riverdale for more information about their Musical Theatre Program for ages 9-12.
This program fee is $200 or 10 hours of volunteer service in fundraising and marketing initiatives. The program does require your full commitment - including the signing of our Code of Conduct and a Commitment Letter.
Note that anyone cast in the production will need to be available for rehearsals and performances.
Those seeking a lead role should ensure they are available for all rehearsals.
A draft schedule is located below, although not all actors will be called for all rehearsals.

Create a video of your performance of a song from a Broadway musical in style similar to part you are auditioning for.

Even if you are graduating you still have to come to rehearsal the day after any festivities fit and ready for rehearsal.
