AUDITIONS FOR OUR 2024 MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION

Yukon Theatre for Young People's 2025 MainStage Musical Production - Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is open for auditions by young people ages 12 through to completion of high school.
All artists who turn 12 in 2025 through to those who graduate in 2025 are welcome to audition.
Registration for the 2025 MainStage Musical Production is $200 or 10 hours of volunteer service.
Please review the schedule at the end of this notice prior to booking an audition space.
Solo Auditions
Solo Auditions are for any actor who wishes to audition for a lead or featured role. Those wishing to perform in the ensemble need only attend Ensemble Auditions on January 12, 2025.
Solo auditions will be held on January 5, 2025 between 1PM and 6PM.

Please come 10 minutes prior to your audition time.
Prepare one song NOT from the production.
You must bring the following forms to the audition, completed:
Note that you will be asked to read sides (parts of the script).
You must be prepared to leave the facility following your audition.
If callbacks are required, they will be completed on January 12, 2025.
All people auditioning during solo auditions must ALSO ATTEND ensemble auditions on January 12, 2025 (details below).
Ensemble Auditions
All actors wishing to participate in the 2025 MainStage Production must attend Ensemble Auditions.
Ensemble Auditions will be held on January 12, 2025 from 1-5PM

You must bring the following forms to the audition, completed:
Note that you will be asked to sing in a group.
Note that you will be asked to learn basic choreography and perform it back in a group.
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, along with indoor shoes.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
January 5 - June 8, 2025
Sundays from 1-5PM
(as called, but all actors must be available)
(some exceptions made for statutory holidays and March Break)
April 15 - June 3, 2025
Tuesdays from 6-9PM
(as called, leads and featured actors must be available)
Production Period*
*all actors MUST be available at all times - only exception is Cap and Gown and Prom for graduating students (not the day of to prepare, not the day after to recover - reasonable accommodations made)
