Natalie's love of music was apparent way before she was able to speak -as an infant she was singing along to the radio in her car seat during our daily commute. While it wasn't easy to understand the words until she got a little older, she had no trouble keeping up with the tune and the rhythm of every song and, as it turned out, remembered every word of the lyrics. She had started piano and voice lessons when she turned 5 but after a few years of trying came to realize that the classic choir settings were not a good match with her active and silly fireworks personality. Natalie is a very active and busy kid and while she has been focusing on skating, gymnastics and competitive swimming for many years, she has always been searching for connections to music and play. She also helped backstage for “Mustard” at the Guild, and she also took the opportunity to learn lighting for both of Candlestick Theatre Society’s recent shows. Long-time attendees will recognize her from her memorable performances as Crutchie in Newsies (2019), Madame Thénardier in Les Misérables (2022), and Joanne in Rent (2023). Recently, Cadence has stepped off the stage to try her hand at producing, mentored by the exceptional Angela Drainville. She absolutely loved associate producing last year’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and has had an incredible time working on this year’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. Growing up in YTYP has taught her so much and she is immensely proud to be a part of this wonderful family.
